We worked on developing 3 hypotheses for the toothpick lab.  You will need to include these in your formal lab report.  Use the Universal Lab Report form as your guide.  You can submit it handwritten if I can read it.  If your handwriting is not so good, then please type it and submit to me via Google docs.  Make sure you attach the graph that we did in class, and the 5 lab questions that you answered for HW.  DUE FRIDAY, 2/17.

We worked in the macromolecules packet today (squirrel coloring packet).  We answered questions #26-38 in class.  For HW: you are to read about nucleic acids on p. 10, and answer questions #39-44.  Due next class.  

Remember that we are doing the applesauce lab on Wed, Feb. 22.  Please dress appropriately - closed-toe shoes, tie hair back, no scarves, etc.

We went over the graph set-up for the applesauce lab today, and did a little work on it in class.  You are to complete your graph for HW.  In addition, you are to complete the study guide for the macromolecules test which will be given on Thu, Mar. 2.  We will go over the study guide next class.

If you did not finish your DNA model in class, it is your responsibility to complete the strands on your time in either NGA or LAC.  Your completed strand is due by Friday, April 28.  Make sure you have a phosphate molecule at the end of each strand.

There is no HW this evening, unless you did not finish your research.  Library databases are accessible from your home computers as well.  Just make sure to use your username and password.

If you did not get sources for your poster, you MUST HAVE 2 sources for your GMO poster.  You should be able to answer all of the questions on the rubric for your poster.  Today was the last day for computers.  You will have the next 2 classes for making your GMO labeling poster. Because we have been working on this project for 2 weeks, there will be no extensions on this project. You will present your poster to the class on Wednesday, May 31.

You are to answer the questions on pp. 1-5 in your final exam study guide by next class.  Make sure you get through the Genetics multiple choice section.  You can use this on your in-class portion of the final exam.  

You will be completing the in-class portion of your final exam on Tuesday, June 6.  This part of the exam is open-notes and open-textbook, and you can use any of the returned materials in your class folder.  BRING YOUR TEXTBOOK TO CLASS TO TURN IT IN FOR THE YEAR.
